My First Nursery Decorating Project Part II

On to the other three walls:
Two identical valances, side-by-side, to stretch across the 48-inch window.
The planes on either side of the window were printed on my ink-jet and applied
with clear contact paper.

Finding a baby mobile to fit the theme was just the icing on the cake.

I wanted to give the feeling of a group hot air balloons having just taken off.  I printed them in increasingly smaller sizes and placed them (again, clear contact paper) at varied distances to create the illusion.
For a personal touch, I created a plane dragging a banner that is personal to the family and has caused the new uncle much grief and inquiry about where this "free ice cream" is.
Thank you Amazon.com and Lambs & Ivy for the Little Traveler Patterned pieces.  So perfect and so cute!
Continued narrative on this wall, the construction vehicles are building new roads.
Storage, storage, and more storage!

Publix is a southern grocery chain, and has quite a following.  The mom-to-be is one of the chains many fans, and so it was fitting to incorporate a Publix truck into the room.  It was just the touch needed to make the Ikea Besta entertainment cabinet sync with the theme.

The train is coming over the curve of the changing table.
